5 Indoor Spring Break Activities for Kids

5 Indoor Spring Break Activities for Kids

By Customer Service Specialist at Zoku

Figuring out how to have fun at home can be tough, but these creative indoor activities for kids are sure to bring plenty of smiles this spring!

1. PLAN AN INDOOR SCAVENGER HUNT

Hosting a scavenger hunt or Easter egg hunt inside is one of my favorite indoor spring activities! For added flare, I like to get creative with my clues by turning them into rhymes. This adds a whimsical element to the search and is sure to bring lots of laughs!

2. CHOPPED: POPSICLE EDITION!

Using your ZOKU Quick Pop Maker, host your own Chopped competition and challenge your family members to create their most creative pops using random ingredients in the fridge and pantry!

For each round, I like to choose a new pop theme to keep everyone on their toes. Some of my favorites: breakfast-themed pops, movie-themed pops and Easter-themed pops!

Just like on Chopped, set a time limit and establish at least 1-2 mandatory ingredients before the competition begins. And of course — make sure to pick a judge in charge of selecting the winner!

3. GET CREATIVE  WITH YOUR COOL MOJI MOLDS

Get crafty with ZOKU’s Cool Moji Ice Tray by using it as a mold for homemade chocolates or hard candies. Another option is to make scented wax melts and decorative soaps. This is a more advanced activity better suited for older children. Below are some links for instructions and how to's.

4. WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK

Spring is a great time for the whole family to declutter their own space and maybe even donate a few items — clothes and household goods for the adults, toys and books for the kids! This activity helps keep you organized but also teaches kids to practice gratitude and give to those in need. I like to make it fun by having a family sing-a-long while we tidy our space!

5. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

Host a movie marathon (Harry Potter, anyone?!) accompanied by everyone's favorite snacks (gummy bears + swiss rolls = YUM). A slumber party in the living room adds a nice touch and then I like to complete the whole experience by whipping up a super fun breakfast in the morning. Did someone say chocolate chip pancakes?!

Hi Ruth – of course you can! You can use any plant-based milk of your choice. However, please ensure that you are not using artificial sweeteners. They do not work well in the Ice Cream Maker. Our customers have had a lot of success using coconut sugar, monkfruit, stevia, etc.
