There’s nothing quite like the taste of strawberry shortcake. Layered with fresh strawberries and generous dollops of whipped cream, this seasonal confection is hard to beat.
That being said, we just might have come in at a close second with today’s recipe for a Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake. We figured that the only thing possibly better than eating strawberry shortcake would be to sip it in delicious frozen form. So that’s exactly what we dreamed up!
STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE MILKSHAKE
SERVING SIZE:
Makes 2 slushies
INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ cups high quality vanilla ice cream
1 cup fresh strawberries
¼ cup milk
2/3 cup cubed pound cake
Whipped cream (optional for garnish)
Fresh strawberries (optional for garnish)
Pound cake crumbles (optional for garnish)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Add ice cream, strawberries, and milk to a blender and purée on medium speed.
2. Transfer to ZOKU’s
Slush & Shake Maker; stir until thick.
3. After the shake has thickened, stir in the cubed pound cake.
4. If desired, top shakes with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and pound cake crumbles.
